When considering different proposals, it's critical to get the correct model numbers and corresponding efficiency and noise ratings.  Factory sales brochures are often vague and sometimes give maximum ratings for that product line.  The true rating may be only found with matched components listed on the ARI website. 
MetFab Heating specifies product brands and model numbers with corresponding ARI ratings on all proposals for guaranteed accuracy.

Puron vs. Freon
In 2004, the production of Freon (R-22) was capped and scheduled for phase out by 2010.  Freon (R-22) contains chlorine which damages the protective ozone layer.  Manufactures cannot produce R-22 based heating and cooling equipment after 2010.  As R-22 production declines, it's cost will continue to rise.  Puron (410a) is the new replacement refrigerant that does not contain chlorine.  Puron refrigerant is "Ozone Friendly", very important for our future generations.
MetFab Heating installed the first Puron system (Carrier) in Clark County in 1997, and has installed hundreds of systems since then.  MetFab Heating tests and reclaims the R-22 refrigerant from removed equipment to help protect the Ozone!

How many HVAC contractors follow through after the work has been completed?  At MetFab, we'll attempt to contact you by phone to see how the installation went and how your new equipment is performing.  A satisfaction survey may also be sent along with your final paperwork - so you have two ways to tell how things went.
